Yoga Gives you What you Need
Did you ever notice that yoga gives you what you need? What I mean is if you are feeling anxious or all wound up, it brings you to a place of calm. Conversely, if you are feeling saddened or low energy, it elevates you; it brings you up. Essentially it brings you into a place of balance and harmony and into a place of homeostasis, to the place in the middle, to the mudhya (which is the Sanskrit word for that).
The word Yoga actually means to yoke, which means to bring together; to unite. And while this is a built in function of yoga you can certainly optimize this state. To do so, you just need to ask. Simply ask that the yoga give you what you need. It’s that simple. Then, as you practice, as you move, infuse your breath with that intention. Feel harmony and peace wash over you as you come into greater balance. As you do this, you will be ushered into this sacred space, into the holy temple of the mudhya.
As you capture this state over and over again, it will come to you more readily. It will become more easeful to attain and then to sustain. Eventually, you can fully embody this state of being.
